Inspiring Conversations, LLC

‘Conversations’ is a board game created by Barry Auchettl.  It has three stacks of cards and a booklet of instructions on how to play.  When you open the box you create a unique experience for your friends and family.

This cooperative game is broken up into three cycles, each cycle building upon the previous one.  The first cycle depicts different aspects of life including education, family & friends or career.  The second cycle looks at how this aspect fits into your life and how that situation faces you now.  Finally, the third cycle moves the conversation to a higher perspective by moving past any initial limitations.  In each of these cycles participants describe their experiences and thoughts related to the cards they have drawn using “I”-statements rather than statements with “you” or “we”.  Meanwhile, others refrain from questions or suggestions and just listen!

‘Conversations’ is designed to be played by two or more people when open communication is desired.  The game can be played with more than eight people, but then a facilitator is strongly recommended to ensure that everyone is accommodated.  A Facilitator's Training Program is available for large groups including study groups and business seminars.
